Lately, I’ve been busy experimenting on some figures that I’ve recently purchased. I currently have Blowtorch in the 3 3/4 repair ward. Blowtorch is suffering from some paint wear and a loose knee. I’ve been doing my research lately on repairing his ailments and there is a lot of advice out there. Again, I’m not here to re-invent the wheel but rather show what’s worked for me. I’ll be posting my progress with the knee joint soon but I’m having a little trouble with the paint repair and haven’t found the best solution for that yet. Blowtorch has a unique red-orange paint that I’ve yet to match 100% hence the slowdown on reports on that front but half the fun is experimenting and finding the best solution. I’m really exited to post the next figure profile though as I think I have enough figures to stick to my once a week schedule, I wanted to have a few figures on deck in case I run into a dry spell on the acquisition side.
I’m also thinking about changing the format of the blog a little bit. I originally wanted to post news and anecdotes on a daily basis on my own personal vintage collection but I’m finding that there isn’t enough post worthy subjects to post. My personal experiences will still be the main focus of the blog, but I’m thinking I might also incorporate Vintage 3 3/4 news and articles that interest me and I think would be worth sharing. I know there’s more than enough blogs and sites that cover modern Joes so I’ll stick to a more focused blog, so look for some neat stuff coming up.
